A classic selvedge jean built with real structure and everyday comfort in mind. The KATO PAIL is made from 14 oz raw indigo denim with four-way stretch, giving you the durability and look of traditional selvedge with added flexibility where it matters.

Vintage details ground the design. A button fly is finished with donut-style laurel leaf buttons that have been acid dyed for a naturally aged look. A red leather back patch adds a subtle pop of color, bringing a modern touch to a timeless silhouette.

The Raw Indigo denim has never been washed, but it is sanforized to remove most shrinkage. Dyed in a medium indigo inspired by 1960s denim, the color deepens after the first few washes before gradually fading with wear. The rope-dyed construction allows the denim to develop personal, one-of-a-kind fades over time, shaped by how you move and live in them.

Cut in a loose straight fit, this is an easy, versatile jean that starts structured, breaks in comfortably, and only gets better with wear.

Fit & Shrinkage Notes

Raw denim may shrink up to approximately 2% after the first wash. Washed denim typically shrinks around 1%. With regular wear, the denim will naturally relax and stretch back out.
